About this Website

I created this website for the benefit of those who are turned off by traditional religion but yet want to pursue a spiritual path. I am not doing this to promote any religious organisation or to convince anyone to join one.

Some people will read this to determine whether I am an orthodox Christian or a member of a strange cult. The answer is neither. However, an increasing number of us see things in the way that they are described in this website, and we believe that this is how early teachers in the first century saw things as well.

This website is divided into three sections:

  • The Put Simply section is the content of a printed booklet that accompanies this website, covering the fundamentals of the Good News (Contact me if you are interested in distributing them).
  • The In Greater Depth part delves deeper into the issues covered in the first section, as well as other topics.
  • The External Links section contains links to other websites that I’ve found interesting and useful.

I strongly believe that evidence should be used to back up any beliefs that are presented. To do this in the In Greater Depth section, I use a footnote system to suggest sources of extra study without disrupting the text’s flow. Some people are willing to believe dependent on how convincingly or not the ideas are presented. I don’t think this is advisable. Furthermore, I do not immediately believe persons or institutions who claim to be the sole source of truth, regardless of how long they have done so.

Finally, the domain name is derived from the Italian phrase non è colpa, which means “not to blame”.
